1. Bacterial Growth After 10 Hours: A pet’s body may start developing bacteria after 10 hours at home. We recommend a loving farewell followed by individual cremation to prevent ash mixing.
2. During the Cremation Process: If your pet is being cremated, contact the funeral service to have the ashes sealed in a preservation bag and placed in a temporary container for easy transfer and arrangement later.

Due to this special nature, we cannot accept returns or exchanges once the order is signed for. Please inspect the item upon delivery and confirm its condition.For your peace of mind, we recommend recording the entire unboxing process on video before signing. Filling your urn is a meaningful yet emotional process—consider having a friend or funeral professional assist if needed. Here’s how:

Step 1: Rotate the lid 90° to align, then lift to open the interior.

Step 2: Use a funnel (or rolled paper as a makeshift funnel) and place it in the opening.

Step 3: Carefully pour the ashes from the complimentary ashes bag we provide into the urn via the funnel.

Step 4: After filling, secure the lid by aligning and rotating it back 90°.

Funeral homes can also assist with this process at no additional cost if preferred.

The lid of your Way Home urn is designed to be secure with its 90° rotation mechanism. If you prefer a permanent seal, apply a thin layer of silicone sealant or epoxy resin adhesive (available at hardware stores) along the lid’s edge, then secure it and let it dry for 24 hours. Note that sealing may make reopening challenging.
